Tammy Townsend was born on August 17, 1970 in Los Angeles, California, USA as Tamara Townsend. She is an actress, known for Preacher's Kid(2010), The Pest (1997) and Rock Me, Baby(2003). 

She portrays Kira Cooper, K.C.'s mother in K.C. Undercover.

Early LifeEdit

Townsend was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Anorene, an African American interior designer, and Thomas Townsend, an English judge with Yugoslavian ancestry.


Tammy Townsend spent most of her career guest starring and playing the occasional recurring roles on television shows. She was a regular on the short-lived series Divas. Her television credits include appearances on Family Matters, Living Single, In the Heat of the Night, and Quantum Leap. She made her film debut with a small role in Robert Townsend's The Five Heartbeats and had her first major role in the John Leguizamo showcase The Pest (1996).

Personal LifeEdit

Tammy is a graduate of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She has starring roles in numerous television sitcoms and plays. She was also the 1987 "Miss Talented Teen California."
